The hostel is very nicely arranged, with a large kitchen and eating areas plus chill zones. The shower cubicles are well planned, small but plenty and can be closed off, overall a pleasant shared bathroom. I stayed in the shared room that holds about 14 people, and at night the open window made traffic noise quite loud, but earplugs helped. It would be better to have curtains on the sleeping cubicles for more privacy, especially since some guests leave their lights on for long periods.

“Good hostel, helpful staff”

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating; I managed to check in earlier than expected and store my belongings, which was a big help. The downstairs kitchen and social area were comfortable and welcoming. There were lockers under the beds with their own keys, so no need for a lock. The location is great, close to the town centre and tram, and the bus stop isn’t far either. Some beds sit very close together, making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep near strangers and lacking personal space when moving around. The bathroom didn’t seem cleaned regularly, so it was a bit dirty and messy at times, mainly because other guests didn’t tidy up. The under‑bed locker drawers were noisy, especially when inserting the key. All in all, it was a great hostel!

The common areas were very good, and the location of the accommodation was excellent. It felt quite expensive for the rooms, which aren’t well insulated and are pretty small. Since we were traveling in October (not high season), it seemed too pricey for what it offered.

“Estupendo”

The hostel is in a beautiful building, just a two‑minute walk from the town centre. We checked in online and received precise instructions to access the hostel and our room. The room was large enough, the bunk beds very comfortable. The shared bathroom was private, so it didn’t bother us. Both the room and bathroom were very clean. We stayed only one night, so we didn’t use the common facilities, but we went down to see them and they’re very charming. The young receptionist in the morning was very friendly and helped us with questions about train times, taxis, and the location of our destination. We could also leave our luggage until the afternoon, which was very convenient. Definitely a highly recommended place.

The décor and attention to detail are impressive. The renovation of a character house into such a beautiful hostel is remarkable. There is no bathroom on each accommodation floor, and free drinking water isn’t available, which would help cut down on plastic bottles. I didn’t mind climbing the high steps because that’s part of the charm of this house.
