“Une belle maison au pied de Sienne”

A lovely house with a garden at the foot of the city. Free parking, which is very appreciated in Siena. The large, comfortable room on the second floor has a very spacious bed and is very clean. A small breakfast (coffee and biscuits) is available in an adjoining kitchen-dining room. The décor feels “too much” to me, though others might like it. However, there are missing little comforts: decent-sized towels, an accessible dryer, a showerhead in the shower, tooth‑brushing glasses, and a water bottle with two glasses (though you can find those in the kitchen).

“Beautiful rooms, just outside the old town wall. About a 20 minute walk in though. Avoids the hustle of being in town.”

The rooms are beautiful, well furnished, and the meal room is great. Even though it’s fairly close to the old town, getting around is a bit of a hike.

“Lovely premises in a great location.”

This charming three‑storey local Siena house is in a superb spot, letting you stroll into the centre of Siena in minutes. Secure parking is available on the premises. Fionella, the host, was friendly and helpful; our limited Italian and her similar English worked fine. We were lucky to be the only guests, so we could use a good kitchen and dining area for ourselves. The only problem was a drain smell from the shower, which we managed with disinfectant from the kitchen. I’d definitely stay here again. Siena is a wonderful place to visit.
