The location sits right in the most charming part of town, yet it’s wonderfully quiet and walkable. Every staff member was sweet, attentive, and incredibly helpful. The kaiseki dinner was exceptional—easily the best we had during our entire trip to Japan. Highly recommended!

The old traditional bedrooms are a plus, yet the bathroom is far from the bedroom and the stairs to the bedroom are steep; future guests should be asked about the stairs and offered other options.

The hotel sits right in the heart of a historic town and the staff were exceptionally helpful; the old building has been cleverly renovated for comfortable living. The only downside was that the directions to the parking lot were confusing.
