A luxurious lodge on the edge of Queen Elisabeth NP, just a stone’s throw from the departure point of the boat tour on the Kazinga channel. The wildlife in the front and back gardens—buffaloes, waterbucks, and a massive elephant calmly following the path between lodges—were a free bonus. The staff were again very hospitable and friendly, and the food and drinks were good.

The lodge sits deep in the bush, with elephants and buffalo passing close by. Each room is an individual raised ensuite with a balcony among the trees, offering comfort in a family‑run setting.

I met Big John de olifant who visits almost every day, and Hans with his team were extremely friendly and thought‑out. The included meals were tasty, and we could see the bokjes, punbaa’s, elephants, hippos, and water buffaloes passing by. Wi‑Fi in the restaurant was fine, though not in the room, and the room had a klamboe. The price‑quality ratio was good and the quality solid. Still, there’s no Wi‑Fi in the room yet, and you should try the long klaren in the evening at the restaurant because mosquitoes can appear.

The hosts were so sweet and welcoming. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent, the location was perfect, and elephants even came right up to where we were eating.

The hosts were super friendly, helpful, and family‑like. The lodge sits right next to the National Park, and animals such as elephants, pumbas, lions, and hyenas were sometimes heard. The food was great, the rooms were great. It’s simply the perfect accommodation. Thank you for your hospitality!
