I spent my stay in two separate rooms, each offering stunning views of the valley and the garden, proving that there isn’t a “bad room” here; the villa lives up to its high ratings, looking magnificent, welcoming, clean, well‑designed, and impeccably maintained, and the owner—two fathers and sons—were cheerful, kind, and fluent in English.

From the high review scores you can tell this villa was truly wonderful; you can simultaneously enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the magnificent rice fields, and the cleanliness, safety, hospitality, maintenance, and breakfast all meet a high standard. The interior and design are beautiful down to the finest detail. Though the area isn’t reachable by car, GrabBike can take you to the small lane where the villa’s gate is, and the staff are always ready to shuttle you—and your luggage—by motorbike to the main road. I also loved spotting fireflies from the balcony and the surrounding rice fields at night.

The accommodation, located amid rice fields with a great view, has very spacious and nice rooms, a tasty breakfast, and a pool with an unobstructed view of nature; many excellent restaurants are nearby. Initially the room felt musty due to high humidity, but the dehumidifier function of the air‑conditioner fixed it quickly. The location is about a 25‑minute walk to the centre, which didn’t bother us, though a scooter is required otherwise.

This place is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful we’ve ever stayed at; the property, gardens, and outlook are absolutely stunning, and the staff’s hospitality truly stands out. Putu’s customer service and communication made our entire stay fantastic, and Papa Putu always made us feel at home. Breakfast in the yoga studio was a highlight, and they happily accommodated our vegan diet. We’d recommend it to anyone looking to escape Ubud’s city centre; we left with full bellies, full hearts, and feeling very relaxed. The only issue was a strong odour in the bathroom at the start of our stay, but it was almost immediately resolved and we had no further problems.
