The staff member who helped me was really nice and the rate was good, but the fans were broken, the mattresses felt old and thin, and the air‑conditioning was noisy.

I stayed here mid‑April for 5 nights. It was a super relaxed, rustic surf shack up the hill from the beach in the trees, with plenty of wildlife—howler monkeys, birds, raccoons. I slept in the dormitory with chill, honest people and nice neighbors. For check‑in and questions, you’ll want to WhatsApp Mekki, the owner, as he lives off‑site (pay with cash/colones only) – his number is on a sign outside the dorm rooms. The dorms have A/C, an outdoor bathroom/shower, a small pool next door near the private rooms, and a kitchen and hangout spot on the patio. There are a few spots underneath and above the dorms for a couple of cars/motorcycles to park. It’s a minutes walk down to Playa Pelada for the sunset, restaurants, and a trail near the bottom by Olgas to get to Guiones—about 15 min. Fun surf in the mornings and evenings during high tide! I would recommend updating the bedframes and mattresses, but the cleaning lady comes every day and everyone seemed to keep the place clean themselves. I had a great time exploring the Nosara region! I stayed at a spot just 7 minutes on foot from the beach, and the outdoor kitchen was well-equipped; the shower and toilet were clean and present.
