“Great staff, good amenities, location. One of my favorites.”
Maria was wonderful at serving breakfast and making great coffee; she was pleasant and helpful and even claimed to remember me from a previous stay, which made me feel good. Cynthia explained my requests to Markus (with a K), and because I couldn’t open the blinds in my first‑floor room with steps, I felt unsafe. Markus was empathetic and helped me move to another room, for which I’m still grateful. I like Sonesta when I’m in LA, which is my home; the proximity to LAX, food shopping, and the beach is great, and the parking is very convenient. The staff are helpful and the overall vibe is very nice. The only negative was that the carpet wasn’t very clean, but that’s a common issue in most hotels.
