“Incredible place to stay by hosts who make you feel like family!”

Great hosts — we felt so cared for. The attention to detail was amazing. Breakfast was a major highlight, the food was incredible, as was the matcha. Great location — close to a lot of shrines, temples, and shops

“A wonderful time with a friendly host who went out of their way to made every day special.”

A wonderful homemade breakfast by the host. Different every day and if you want they were willing to adjust things to your taste. They also gave me several treats alongside the food, and a onigiri to help me through my day. I can't think of much at this time as to what I would want changed.

Breakfast was a completely unique experience. The dishes served are traditional and, as I understand, prepared by the owner herself. At the same time the dishes are very varied and let you get to know Japanese culture from Kyoto. Great place for a first stay in the area. The host gladly talks about local curiosities, the specifics of Japan itself, and is very nice. NA.

Okami-san gave us a warm, welcoming home. She and her husband were wonderful company, great guides, and always helpful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with great facilities. It was also well placed to explore the many shrines and temples of the city.
