“Magical”

The staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate everything. The place was clean with a lovely scent, even better than the pictures. I arrived late at night and the hotel was brightly lit with beautiful lights like Christmas, making it magical. A few people mentioned the road next to the hotel, but it didn’t bother me at all because it was hidden among trees. I could see the road from the bedroom, but the view from our window in the attached picture was very pretty in the morning. When you drive out and look back at the hotel from afar, it was one of the prettiest buildings on the beautiful landscape among many around the area. However, there were quite a few stairs. If you have trouble climbing them, you might need to ask the hotel which room to book; there are also ground‑floor rooms.

“This is a great boutique 4 star hotel, but definitely not a 5 star.”

Great location, very convenient to be a stop between Roma and Florence. Good breakfast, not tasting excellent but everything looks like from local farm. 1, service, not feel welcomed during check-in. 2, almost everything inside the room looks torn

“Old hotel in poor location next to a main road, nice staff but no where near 5* hard product”

The staff were nice, and the food and drinks were good. The property sits directly next to a busy road, audible from the rooms and outside. The view is nice, but the road in front of the hotel is obvious—check Google Maps for accuracy. It felt like an early 2000s 5★ quality, but standards have risen and it no longer feels 5★ to me. The furniture is tired (not aged nicely), amenities are poor, and the outdoor area needs refurbishment. There was no extra thought put into service or the product. I think it’s a 4★ on a good day because of the nice staff, but the hotel can’t justify a 5★ rating. The spa is a bit of a joke compared to other 5★ properties, and the dining experience was fine but not memorable.

Everything was perfect, beautiful views (especially sunsets), great spa, amazing staff. The bar‑restaurant was great and pastoral, and breakfast was perfect. It felt both historic and comfortable at the same time.
