“My wife hated it. But I convinced her to stay”
One of the most striking aspects of my stay at this hotel was the complete absence of breakfast. However, this was only the tip of the iceberg, as the bathroom was in a state of disrepair, with a loose toilet and a chair with a cigarette burn in it, despite being in a non-smoking room. The overall state of the hotel was a major letdown.

My room was spotless, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. However, I did notice that the shower heads could use an update, which would take the experience to the next level.

I had a truly horrific experience at this hotel. The moment I sat on the bed, I was swarmed with bed bugs, and it became clear that the room hadn't been properly cleaned. There were open beer cans in the fridge, and mold growing inside. The front desk staff refused to believe me when I showed them time-stamped video and pictures of the infestation, claiming it could have been taken anywhere. Their dismissive attitude and laughter only added to my frustration.

This hotel's location was ideal, with easy access to downtown Sumter, Dalzell, Camden, and even a 30-minute drive to Columbia. It's also just a 1 hour and 15 minute drive to Myrtle Beach. However, I felt that the decor could use an update to give the hotel a more modern feel.
