The hotel sits right in the historic quarter and they even bring your luggage up in a little cart at the old‑town entrance, which was handy. The owner, however, greeted us with a sharp attitude and started demanding payment before we’d even set foot in the courtyard. The rooms felt neglected—dusty, dirty, and the windows looked onto courtyards where underwear was hanging, and there was no breakfast offered, so it was only good enough for a single night.

Staying in a building with genuine historic character was a nice change of pace, but the room itself was a let‑down: dust everywhere, a filthy shower curtain, a broken toilet seat and a sink that wouldn’t drain. The mattress was practically non‑existent, making sleep impossible, and despite repeated messages the host never responded to arrange checkout. All in all, the charm was outweighed by the poor upkeep.

The place is truly beautiful—full of charm, authentic, and the common areas are stunning with spacious rooms. Unfortunately the bed was a nightmare: a thin mattress on a stone floor made it far too hard to sleep on. The bathrooms are also dated and not very functional, which detracts from an otherwise lovely stay.

The hotel enjoys a fantastic spot, right where you want to be, and the property itself lives up to that promise. Everything felt clean and convenient, making for a pleasant stay.
