The Kardinal Schulte Haus hotel is nestled in a large park in Bensberg, a short underground ride from Cologne's city centre. Rooms feature a work desk, TV, and telephone, with private bathrooms and hairdryers. A rich breakfast buffet and catering services are offered. The hotel boasts an adventure playground and is close to Bensberg Underground Station and the A4 motorway.

The building itself is truly impressive, but walking from the parking lot to the entrance with a large suitcase is quite uncomfortable. The cobblestones are poorly lit, and when I asked if there was a shorter or better route, I was only vaguely directed in some direction.

The breakfast and cleanliness were solid, yet it felt more suited for a meditation retreat than a business trip. The property is spacious, perhaps a bit too much, and the atmosphere feels somewhat cold—maybe fine for religious guests. The restaurant offers very little variety.
