Hotel Terzo Crotto, in Cernobbio's centre, is a charming farmhouse surrounded by a garden, 400 metres from Lake Como's shores. The hotel features air-conditioned rooms with simple wood furniture, marble floors, and flat-screen TVs. It offers free WiFi, an Italian restaurant, and wine list. Staff provides ski equipment storage. Villa d'Este is a 10-minute walk away, and Como Nord exit is 3 km away.

The staff were friendly, the place was clean, the bed was wonderful, there was parking on the property, and the restaurant was very good.

We booked one room for three nights, but the manager thought we’d need more space and upgraded us to a studio with a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen utensils), a large bathroom with a washing machine, iron, and drying rack. The garden was very leafy, and the spot was only a few minutes’ walk from the lake shore. The staff were pleasant, breakfast was varied (savory and sweet) but the same each day, and the hotel restaurant was good, though a bit pricey.

As always, the Terzo Crotto Hotel was great for sleeping and the restaurant offered superb food and good wine. We were fully satisfied. The lovely room with a small balcony and the restaurant were the highlights.
