I recently had the misfortune of staying at Ratnapalace, which turned out to be a complete letdown. The moment I arrived, I realized it was more like a banquet hall than a hotel, and it utterly failed to cater to travelers or holidaymakers. The lack of room service and basic amenities made me feel like I was staying in an abandoned space.

My stay at this property was a pleasant surprise, despite the slightly tricky location down a dusty unmade road. The large property had a beautiful banqueting suite and well-maintained gardens, which added to its charm. Although I was one of the few residents during my stay, the staff were excellent and the Managing Director, Ankur Agrawal, was a delightful host. I enjoyed our conversations over tea, and I was impressed by the staff's hospitality.
