The host was very friendly and baked a delicious cake for breakfast. The castle and the archaeologically excavated area are just a short walk away. The rooms and the stairwell were fairly noisy.

We stayed close to Antica Ostia, so getting there was easy, and the proximity to FCO made an early flight convenient. The bed was very uncomfortable, the staff were almost nonexistent, and the owner, a nice lady, never helped us with our luggage.

I especially appreciated María’s attentive and kind service, the breakfast, and how spacious my room was. It’s only a few blocks from the historic town centre and the Roman ruins, so it’s recommended for a one‑ or two‑night stay if you want to explore the ruins, Rome’s surroundings, the sea, or if you have a layover and need something quieter than the big city, as I did. The air conditioning didn’t work very well, which was noticeable on the hot night at the beginning of September.
