The host was very friendly and humorous, the place is right by the lake, and from the second‑floor balcony you can see the aurora directly; you can also see it through the windows inside. There are three rooms, two bathrooms, and each room is large with a kitchen to cook in. I stayed for four nights. On the last day, when I was heading to the airport, the taxi company overcharged my card, and the host was very helpful in contacting the taxi company to get a refund. Thank you so much to host John for his help. I strongly recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wants to see the aurora!

The cottage was in a great spot in the old town and within walking distance to downtown, and it was right on the lake, which was very picturesque. We had trouble finding the place and getting access to the cottage.

The location and ease of getting in and out were great, and nothing else was an issue; it served our purpose well.

From my room, the lake reflects the Northern Lights, which was amazing, but the WiFi stopped working for a few days.
