“Close to the station, comfortable”
I liked having a shared kitchen to make simple meals and brew tea and coffee. The coffee machine came with pods and it tasted good. There was a fridge and freezer for guests to use. A variety of teas, sugar, salt, olive oil, etc. were handy, and there was also laundry detergent for the washing machine. The separate room had a large table with 4‑5 chairs and served as a dining area. We stayed in room no. 5 on the first floor, facing the inner courtyard, so it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the towels smelled nice. There are about 6 or 7 different rooms in total. Our neighbours were respectful, so that was fine. Communication with the owner and with Mr. Franco who checked us in was smooth and fast—both on Booking and WhatsApp—and I can speak some Italian, which was useful especially with Mr. Franco. Another advantage was the proximity to the Centrale Stazione; we had to leave at 03:30 a.m. and it was only about 200 metres away. The lift was a bit odd—long and narrow—but with our 25 kg suitcase it was a relief. The water didn’t drain well at first, but that issue has been fixed. I also felt mild electric shocks while showering, which was unpleasant, though my husband didn’t experience it. I told the owner about it and I think it will be checked. I missed the cloth dish in the kitchen. There are stairs to reach the lift.
