The room was pretty, but the facility was barren, cold, no atmosphere; the main reason we chose it was for the on‑site French restaurant, but upon arrival we were told the restaurant only served private events, no staff after 5, no refrigerator in the room, balcony had two uncomfortable chairs, we had no idea where the pool was, it was very expensive and disappointing.

The old Victorian decor was nice, but there was no ice, the pool was dirty, breakfast service was lacking, they didn’t come around to see if we wanted more coffee, and there weren’t enough hangers in the small closet.

The 19th‑century building was beautiful, but the air‑conditioner unit dripped into our room.

The place is amazing; we had a great time enjoying the old French architecture and decor, the staff were very accommodating and we felt so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave, morning breakfast was fabulous, we will be back and highly recommend this place, though we could have used a dresser in the room to put our clothes in for the couple days we were there.

I was wowed by the European charm right in South Jersey, with staff that were super attentive, food that was genuinely tasty, and a lovely, beautiful setting that made the hospitality feel truly gracious.
