“Okay stay”
The place sits in a good spot near the town centre, a few minutes from many restaurants and shops, and the house and rooms look great in an antique Victorian style. However, many odd restrictions applied: we had to leave muddy shoes at the entrance (acceptable), but were told not to eat in the room because there is no kitchen. Several restaurants offered only take‑out, and we couldn't bring food into the building; the host said we could eat in the dining room if we cleaned it afterward, which felt more like a monitored hostel. Eating on the bed or with muddy shoes was allowed, but not eating inside the property was unfamiliar. Parking was also tricky: spots are behind the property and cramped for a hatchback; we were lucky to find a spot at the front, but it could be difficult during peak season.
