The bed was comfortable, the room was roomy, and it was as quiet as you’d expect in Rome. Service was great too – the hosts were very flexible, helpful and kind.

The hospitality, the location, the room, the ability to make coffee anytime (though without milk) and the sparkling water machine were all great. The breakfast, however, wasn’t really a breakfast; it consisted of three pieces of packaged industrial pastry.

Fabio was incredibly helpful and friendly. He spent time explaining the sights on a map and how to reach them by public transport. The location is superb, with a tram just outside and only a few minutes to the city centre. Trastevere itself is lively, with fantastic restaurants and bars. We also appreciated the unexpected communal area for tea and coffee, a unit for dispensing cold, sparkling and boiling water, a fridge stocked with yoghurts and cheese, individually wrapped pastries, jams, and an extra small fridge for drinks.
