“A great dinosaur hotel that has everything you want and more.”

This is a brand‑new, very roomy hotel that makes a great base when visiting the Dinosaur Museum. The rooms are huge and comfortable, with plenty of space for two or three people. The staff were always friendly and helpful. And if you’re a dinosaur fan, the dinosaur décor is spot on! The property isn’t in the centre of Katsuyama, so if you don’t have a car you’ll need to walk. It’s flat terrain and about 30 minutes to the train station, and taxis are available, so it’s hardly a problem.

The breakfast was good and the dinosaur welcome in the lobby was nice. The door to the women’s large bath in the public bath was too stiff to open, so I couldn’t get in; someone nearby helped me. I was the only one inside, so I was scared and quickly left with the door still open. The next morning the same issue left me disappointed.

Great spot for the Dinosaur Museum, large and spacious. Lots of noise from small children at breakfast, but who can resist the excitement about dinosaurs? 😏

“Preistorico”

The whole place was a dinosaur theme, spotless and welcoming, with staff who were super kind, helpful, and spoke English very well. The room was huge and had two smoking areas, one inside on the basement level and one outside. The only downside was that we couldn't use the public outdoor pool because it was tattooed, but that was something we knew beforehand.
