Beautiful friendly hotel, very clean and comfortable. Thetford itself needs some tlc - but a great location if visiting Ely or Newmarket

There were some nice old ornament’s related to Thomas Payne. Dirty room which I was moved from. Walls in dire need of a paint. The mould in the bathroom was awful. It said breakfast included. No breakfast. Restaurant was closed. No mention of that when i booked. The hotel was deserted. Not surprised. However, they found a menu which food was ordered. Bland expensive and I was over charged. The price I was charged was more than what was on the menu. The chicken wings were clearly reheated and very dry and far too salty. The curry was watered and I would suggest was a microwave dish. I was moved room to a much nice one. Only one towel and the tv signal was terrible. They said they would take a £100 which would not be put through. Yes today I find they have taken £100. I will be having this refunded
