“The bed will cause you pain for days”

The location was convenient for us. The room was clean and modern. There’s a lovely café on the ground floor that isn’t part of the motel. However, there was no staff on site and the check‑in process was a nightmare. The host doesn’t speak any English, and getting the code sent is tedious and confusing. We tried calling to speak to someone – they answered and immediately hung up, repeatedly. There was no warning that it would be a completely digital experience before booking. The bed felt like sleeping on an old shipping pallet; it was truly the worst bed I’ve ever slept on. With no one on site, other guests behaved as they pleased, which meant dirty clothes and shoes blocking the walkway, dumping their used pipes in the hallway so it smelled of pot, and generally seemed a bit sketchy. Traffic on the road was VERY heavy, so budget about three times longer than any mapping system says for getting in or out of the area. The room is extremely bare‑bones and has a sickly sweet smell from a diffuser.

Before I realized I had to climb the ramp to find the room, I walked around the building looking for the entrance. There’s no sign indicating where to access the rooms.
