Cleanliness, availability, and friendly staff made the check‑out at about 3 am a breeze. The hotel is a bit far from the city centre, but I managed to get there in 15 minutes by bike from the railway station.

We booked a room for 24 April, yet the hotel was closed. We circled it from every angle, found a single open door, and encountered no living person—no guests, no staff—so we realised we had to cancel and look elsewhere immediately.

The hotel is gorgeous and the room truly splendid! Being just a metre from the Belarus border, the peace was absolute and we were surrounded by little woods. Plenty of parking. Unfortunately, the place seemed unprepared to welcome us, probably because of the last‑minute booking. The room lacked hot water and there was no staff to ask for in the evening (the hotel felt deserted). The lack of English speaking staff didn’t help (luckily my partner spoke Russian, so we got through at check‑in). A misfortune for an otherwise beautiful property. Still, we gave it a high rating because it appeared to be an isolated incident; we would have appreciated more staff presence or an English‑speaking help line.
