The soundproofing was worse than I expected.

The room was absolutely gorgeous – tastefully decorated and really comfortable. What threw us off, though, was being told that even our four‑year‑old needed a piece of ID to stay, and the receptionist was rather unfriendly about it.

We liked the comfy beds, the hot shower, and the fact that the hotel sits right in the city centre. The on‑site restaurant could use some work, though, and there was no wardrobe in the room to hang our clothes.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the night was quiet, plus the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The only downside was the lack of a proper fridge – the only cooling unit was a noisy wine cooler, which would have been handy.
