“Friendly staff, good food, large room but not given room we booked.”

The room was clean, the staff friendly, the on‑site restaurants served good food, and parking was free and available. However, we didn’t receive the balcony and Mountain View room we had booked—the room was handed to someone else without explanation—so the staff offered a discount. Still, that was disappointing.

The wooden hotel was very cozy, we stayed two nights but would have liked to stay longer. The mountain vibe, the restaurant was just as pleasant at very reasonable prices, and the Happy Hours were much appreciated. The spot is 1 mile from the entrance of the Rocky Mountains Park, and there are also beautiful hikes within a 5‑minute drive, especially around Grand Lake. A grocery store 5 minutes on foot offers a good selection despite its size, and prices remain very affordable. The rooms and bathrooms are huge. The staff are very friendly at the front desk and in the restaurant.

The view was fantastic and the staff were friendly, but there was no plug near the bed to charge my phone.

“It was a great time and great value - would totally do again.”

The location was great next to the park, though a little away from town, and the rustic vibe was fun; we missed breakfast on the first morning because we left for the park too early, but it was an off day and not a big deal, and the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly.
