It’s my second time staying here and I love the hotel. I walk about 140 steps from the terminal, so if you arrive by ship or ferry it’s only a 90‑second stroll to the hotel. I did the arctic plunge again; it wasn’t as cold as last year in March but it still left my legs numb after a few seconds. One small issue I noticed both times is that while the breakfasts are Oscar‑winning and the buffet is the best you could wish for, the evening menu is limited. There’s a fancy selection of dishes, a set menu, and pizza, but being from South Africa I can’t afford the pricey options and they don’t suit my taste. It would be nice to have a few more basic items, like a couple of burgers and some pasta dishes to pair with the pizza for guests who want simple, filling meals without leaving the hotel.
