“cool, bien située et convivial”

The location was great, the inn was pretty…my students enjoyed the billiards and the friendly atmosphere. What I mainly criticize is that all communication was in English, even upon arrival. I was organizing a school trip to Germany with students learning German; practicing the language on site was a key part of the educational plan. In that context, having to do everything in English felt humiliating. I believe it’s reasonable to communicate in German at an inn in Germany, especially when hosting a school group there to learn the language.

The vibe in the common area was really good, and you can even use the shared kitchen to cook, which saves a lot of money. The tram stop and metro station are a little far away.

The spot’s right next to the U‑bahn, so getting around Berlin is a breeze, and a bunch of eateries and shops are within walking distance. We were just a family looking for a place to sleep, so that was enough; the rest of the day we were out exploring. The rooms are small but functional, featuring a tiny desk, bunk beds, a wardrobe, and a sink so you don’t have to keep heading to the shared bathroom. Unfortunately, the shared bathroom next to our room was closed, forcing us to shower a bit farther away, which is less convenient if you need to go out at night to pee. The staff were friendly. The cleanliness in the bathrooms and toilets wasn’t always perfect, but that’s to be expected in a hostel.

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The facilities were good and the staff were excellent.

“Galactic”

It was gorgeous, the staff were nice and the rooms were comfy and clean, with plenty of toilets and showers. In the basement there was a gaming room where you could play table tennis and foosball, though the table somehow ate our ball :( Overall, very nice and ridiculously cheap for the great location ^^. The soap dispensers in most bathrooms were broken, but I usually bring my own soap to hostels anyway.
