The location and the room are good. The isolation is a bit weak.

The hotel is in town, the historic property is beautiful, and the room has nice touches. The new ‘smart TV’ and phone charger on the nightstand are convenient, and parking is free for one car per unit. The tub had no shower, which was a problem because there was no easy way to keep the nozzle head water from splashing all over the bathroom. The balcony hallway door stuck badly and was hard to open. Road noise on Washington Street made sitting on the porch unpleasant; we know this isn’t the hotel’s fault but heavy, noisy semi‑trucks on downtown streets ruin the Fredericksburg vibe, and the merchants apparently voted to keep the truck traffic.

Everything is high quality: the bed and bedding, the bottled waters, the bathroom is exceptional, and the location is perfect. You can walk to Main St., and you get your own assigned parking spot. You also have access to the hotel amenities next door. No negatives.

The spot is great, but the street noise is relentless—you could hear the neighbors chatting right up until midnight.

“Relaxing and nice easy walk to great pizza!”

I really enjoyed the lobby bar and the convenient location, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. However, the room lacked a shower; the tub is large with a wand spray, but you have to get into the tub to use it.
