The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious—though we arrived later than planned on the second morning, the chef still managed to serve us fresh mushrooms, making it the best breakfast we’ve had in a B&B. The décor felt dated, but the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The Waverley Hotel was an absolute delight; the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, especially Matteo, whose kindness stood out. As a motorcyclist, I appreciated the hotel’s motorcycle-friendly policy—my bike was parked safely in a locked area at the back, giving me peace of mind all night. The genuine care and thoughtfulness of everyone made me feel truly welcome, and I’d definitely return and recommend it to other motorcycle travelers. Nothing was missing; everything was perfect.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and my room was upgraded upon arrival, which was a nice gesture. The evening meal and breakfast were great, and the location was convenient for the town centre and sports like football, rugby league, and speedway. The price offered good value. The stairway was a bit narrow in places, but manageable.

The staff handled check‑in and breakfast smoothly, and the location was good with excellent breakfast. The building is old, so you hear every noise, but that shouldn’t stop you from booking a room—it feels like a throwback to hotels from 20 years ago and offers excellent value for money.

Well worth the price. The room was clean and lovely big bed. Most of all, all the staff that served us were super lovely. Late bar, And the breakfast good too. Have to reposition the car at 930am but no big deal
