“Agréable séjour au calme”

Warm welcome from Marie (and Gustave, the house cat!). We had a large room (room 7 on the ground floor), well furnished, with a big mirror, a desk, and a kettle tray. The establishment was quiet. Breakfast was very good. There’s a nice little garden at the back. Nothing majorly wrong! It would be nice to have two or three tea or infusion sachets with the kettle tray and a few extra hooks in the bathroom to hang things.

I booked last minute through Booking because my wife had already booked at the Hotel Sakurav in Morestel, but the hotel had no human reception, no access code, and the room code was missing; calls went unanswered (closed on Sundays, call back on Monday). After that, we looked elsewhere—our home is in Arbois, and we were on the road—so we booked again through Booking, where I'm a loyal customer, and stayed at Lagnieux, Le Clos du Bois Joli. The reception was friendly and we had a room ready right away. I recommend this stop; thanks to Le Clos du Bois Joli and Booking. On the other hand, I advise against staying at Sakura in Morestel: no reception, no rooms, the place is unfairly rated three stars, no elevator for the three floors, and no welcome for the RPM people. We do not recommend it.

Very quiet, lovely garden, small private terrace, own bike garage. Extremely friendly staff and a good breakfast.

The combination of good humor and professionalism, plus quality rooms. A small instruction for using the bedside lamp would be appreciated.

Surprisingly spacious for such a tiny room, and the breakfast is very good. The otherwise pretty garden could use a renovation.
