We've been coming for 15 years and were very pleased that the rooms—at least ours—were completely renovated, which was admittedly necessary, with very tasteful new furnishings, and we’ll gladly return next year.

The hotel is located just down the street to the metro, making it super easy to get around all of Berlin from there, and the area is full of good restaurants, but the breakfast is okay for the price, and the dining surroundings are very dull and feel like an old DDR canteen.

The room faced the courtyard and was very quiet; it was well‑furnished. It sits right by the subway station in the heart of Friedrichshain. Breakfast was acceptable. The reception staff didn’t come across as particularly engaged, and their friendliness was somewhat lacking.
