“Gute Lage - fragwürdige Einstellung des Empfangspersonals”
The location is right in the middle of town, all restaurants within walking distance. If you don’t care about an expensive hotel breakfast, you can get a decent coffee and more in a well-run bakery right next door. The underground parking is a nightmare for anyone who doesn’t drive a smart or similarly narrow car. Even with a modern mid‑class sedan, like a BMW 4, the up and down is a real gamble. There are two or three outdoor spots in front of the hotel. On the late afternoon of my third day, when I returned from my appointments, one of those spots was free. Although the website says they can’t be reserved, the lady at the front desk insisted I move my car. The spots are reserved for other guests with larger vehicles, specifically small vans. It was especially confusing that another car had been parked on the spot next to mine for at least 24 hours, apparently allowed to stay. Why did I have to move my car? I couldn’t understand. She suggested I use the underground garage or find a spot nearby. During the day you can only park for a maximum of three hours with a parking disc; even closer to the hotel only 15‑30 minutes, and only between 19:00 and 08:00 is unlimited parking allowed. When I asked why the vans couldn’t use the nearby parking, I was told that their drivers are regular guests. I don’t want to be a second‑class guest – especially at these prices. I will not stay in this hotel again for future regular visits to Bad Soden. The city offers plenty of good alternatives where hopefully all guests are welcomed equally.
