Great spot near music venues, a castle, shops, and the river. The staff were friendly, but the single shower wasn’t ideal for the number of people staying there.

The location is very good, close to the city center and various attractions. Our bedroom faced a busy street, which was less noisy at night. The bed was very soft, but that’s just a personal preference.

I walked straight into the hotel next to the woman‑bird stream and could reach the Shinjuku shopping street and Matsumoto Castle on foot; the décor was thoughtfully clean and had its own style, and the owner spoke fluent English and welcomed guests from various countries. At night, amid lively laughter and music, my kid and I relaxed after a tiring trip and spent a pleasant evening in Matsumoto, experiencing a local old‑house building—an amazing experience. Everything was great!

Top location, Japanese‑style furnishings, cleanliness, ambience, kitchen with all utensils, luggage storage. In the shared‑room there was a strange odor even though the window was open all the time; that should be checked. The mattresses were extremely worn out and no longer comfortable.
