The Alpenhotel Sonneck is situated on the outskirts above Bad Hindelang, a traditional Allgäu spa town, yet only a 5-minute walk from the town center. The hotel's southern orientation guarantees sunshine from morning to night, offering unobstructed views of the Ostrachtal mountains. Surrounded by nature-protected areas, guests can enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, and tobogganing in the nearby "Allgäu High Alps" region.

The view and the friendliness of the staff were nice, but there was no dinner offered at the hotel and it was hard to find anything nearby.

The hotel sits a bit higher and outside, yet the city centre is still a quick walk away; we were thrilled with our room, which met all our expectations, the rooms are very comfortable and the beds are cozy, breakfast offers everything you could want, the staff are super friendly and helpful, we were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our stay, and it couldn’t have been better.

The breakfast was very good. The hotel feels stuck in the 1970s and doesn’t deserve the “Hotel” title, more like a pension. Drinks are only available from the vending machine, which is the only nice thing about the location. The price‑performance ratio is completely off; I’m disappointed. The staff are very good.
