The floor was filthy—I spilled water in the bathroom, tried to mop it with a hand towel, and the towel got dirty; the floor seemed unwashed for months, and a drop of water turned a tissue brown, which was disgusting. The guy next door played movies on his phone with a loudspeaker, waking me at midnight and again during the night because he was smoking outside; the remote TV batteries were flat, the lights over the bed didn’t work, the bathroom tiles were loose, the soap dispensers were broken, and there was mould in the shower with grime around the taps.

The location was good and the staff were friendly, but the bed wasn’t as comfy as I’d like and the bathroom door wouldn’t close, letting morning light into the room.
