“Unpleasant stay and lack of privacy”
Unfortunately, every positive aspect of the property was completely eclipsed by the owner’s behaviour and the uncomfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. This was one of the most unpleasant and absurd accommodation experiences we have ever had. The most disturbing issue was the owner’s behaviour. He entered our rented accommodation twice while we were away, without asking for our permission, even though all our personal belongings and luggage were inside. He openly admitted this in our WhatsApp conversation, explaining that he had entered to turn off the lights. Throughout our stay, we felt extremely uncomfortable and uneasy. The owner’s intrusive behaviour and constant remarks made us feel as though we were under continuous supervision rather than guests who had paid for privacy, comfort and peace of mind. We could not relax because we never felt confident that our private space would be respected. On the first evening, we also experienced problems with the hot water and extremely low water pressure, making it impossible to take a proper shower. Instead of ensuring a comfortable stay, the owner repeatedly complained about trivial matters. He even questioned us about a missing part of the kitchen faucet, although we had not touched or altered anything. Breakfast was included in our reservation. However, when we left at approximately 9:38 a.m., breakfast had still not been provided. Only after we informed him that we were leaving did the owner say he would arrive in 15 minutes with pastries. Despite repeatedly messaging us about minor issues the previous evening, he had never asked what time we would like breakfast. The issue was not the breakfast itself, but the overall attitude towards guests. We booked this accommodation expecting a peaceful and comfortable stay. Instead, we experienced constant tension, unnecessary complaints and a serious lack of respect for our personal space. We have travelled extensively and stayed in many different properties, but we have rarely experienced such an uncomfortable and disappointing atmosphere.
