Minshuku Otaki fireplace - Vacation STAY 46344v

The stay was fantastic! In a beautiful old traditional house full of warmth and love. The rooms were very cozy and homely. The couple were extremely kind and helpful, offering many tips about nearby sights. The homemade food was delicious, the best we had at any ryokan on our trip, partly made with vegetables from their own garden.

A highly recommended inn if you want to disconnect and enjoy the company of Keiko and Tosh. Dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Keiko and Tosh were attentive and available to chat and answer our questions. We suggest staying 2 nights to enjoy Narai-Juku, which is 15 minutes by car.

I haven't met such wonderful people as the hosts of this accommodation in a long time; I felt like I was visiting family.

“昔の田舎の親戚の家に泊まりにいく”

I stayed in a rustic old farmhouse that was used for silk rearing, surrounded by green hills and the sounds of insects and birds, which gave me a real sense of being in the countryside. The place was much cleaner than a typical town hotel, but it still had a lot of bugs, and I couldn’t say it was spotless; however, the owner’s hospitality was excellent and made up for everything.

The host was very friendly, prepared wonderful meals for us, the place felt cozy, and it was a rare experience staying in a traditional Japanese house.
