The spot, the spa, and the owner’s hospitality were great. The room felt a bit cramped for four people, but I managed it.

The breakfast was tasty, with beautiful buttered braids that were honestly worth the price. I didn’t think to ask about the width of our bed, so we ended up with a small double instead.

The hotel’s location is great—right in front of the Thal station! The room was very good with a comfortable bed, and the staff were overall very friendly. I’ve stayed at Alpina several times before and always liked it. The only downside was that the breakfast buffet lacked hot items like freshly cooked eggs, fried eggs, bacon, etc.; only cold options were available, which was a real disappointment in my view.
