The mattress was good, the hostel was spacious, and it had a yoga area, a pool, and many common spaces. The staff were very kind and even gave me a ride when I arrived. However, the cleaning was lacking, especially in the bathroom—walls were dirty, there was no drain so I often saw a rat, the sink was very dirty, and the bed curtains needed washing.

The only disappointment was that the pool was not accessible to dorm guests, which was the only let‑down.

The dorm was a decent size, and even though I shared with seven other beds (only two other dorm mates), it didn’t feel cramped because it was split into two rooms. The pool just reopened when I arrived, which was a bonus. Off‑season meant the café was limited, but I still got a great chai and breakfast. Nothing else really, except the common areas were closed for the monsoon—will return during the season for sure.
