The location is right next to Fengshan Station and just behind Cao Gong Zhen, and although the parking lot is a short walk away, you can come and go freely during your stay, which is very convenient. There’s no breakfast on site, but a breakfast shop is right outside the back door, making it a great value for weekday stays. The bed is on the firm side—perhaps a bit too hard for my taste—but it’s better than a soft, unsupportive mattress. The downside is that the bathroom isn’t separate, so the floor stays wet after a shower, which feels a little unsafe.

When I checked in the room looked clean and tidy, and the housekeeping lady was friendly and polite; the location is convenient and the price is reasonable. However, when I asked the front desk how to get to Chengqing Lake Baseball Stadium, they only offered to call a taxi and, after I said I wanted the bus, gave vague directions to “take a bus near Fengshan Train Station” without naming a street or route; I eventually figured out that you turn right after the main gate, walk to Fengshan Hospital and catch bus 16A or 16B (no 16B on holidays) to the stadium. On a Sunday around 2 am someone rang the bell of my room 507; I didn’t answer and fell back asleep, which left me unrested in the morning, though I didn’t tell the desk. Also, the TV didn’t receive channels like Wei Lai, DAZN, Minshi or Sanli.
