When I booked this accommodation, I had not the slightest clue that I would spend my weekend in the 500-year-old ancestral home of one of Gorizia's most influential families. The charming Countess Carolina welcomed us into her residence, where we marveled at an astonishing range of art and history: vintage furniture, 19th-century photographs and prints, medieval frescoes, and oil paintings, as well as contemporary art pieces. We also had free run of her garden, clearly a labor of love. It was a one-of-a-kind stay, like stepping into another century. Not the single thing comes to mind that I could say I didn't like. However, this is a historical palace, so don't expect the modern day technological luxury

Staying at Palazzo Lantieri felt more like stepping into a living museum than just a place to sleep; after a long, rainy trip we finally relaxed in an atmosphere thick with history and elegance, and the house’s special charm made it unforgettable. The warmth of the welcome was extraordinary, especially thanks to the daughter of the house who, with endless patience, charm, and a genuine willingness to help, anticipated every need. Her expert wine recommendations later in the evening left a lasting impression, rounding off the day perfectly. If you want a unique stay that blends historic ambiance with modern family warmth, this is the spot; we felt at home from the first minute and will gladly return with all our hearts.
