“Dieses Hotel werden wir nie wieder buchen”
The breakfast was okay, nothing special: three kinds of inexpensive sausage, three kinds of inexpensive cheese, boiled eggs, rolls, but often from the day before. The stay was disappointing and offered no reasonable value for money. We arrived on 13 October at B&B Hotel Ravensburg and paid 2.180 € for two rooms with six nights each, including breakfast. For that price we expected a corresponding standard and especially clean rooms. Unfortunately we were bitterly disappointed. One of the two rooms was somewhat acceptable. The other was a barrier‑free room that, unfortunately, felt more like a nursing home than a hotel room. The bathroom looked completely sterile, with no storage, and consisted mainly of a sink, mirror and toilet. The tiles reached the ceiling, and the whole room smelled extremely of an unpleasant cleaning or disinfectant. There was no coziness at all. When I politely asked the reception for a room change because I did not feel comfortable in that room, I was told the hotel was fully booked. As an alternative, I was basically offered to cancel, even though I would not find another hotel anyway because Ravensburg was booked due to a trade fair. No customer‑oriented solution or even a little understanding? None. It got worse when my colleague swapped rooms with me and discovered how dirty it actually was. The sink and the bathroom were grimy, and the carpet, especially in the corners, was full of hair and dirt. The impression was that it had not been cleaned or vacuumed properly. When we raised these issues, the receptionist’s reaction was absolutely inappropriate. We were basically told that if we were so picky, we should go to the Kaiserhof – after all, that is the most expensive hotel in Ravensburg.
