“Good location for Oktoberfest but bad location for walking around after dark. Not worth the over $400 a night we paid a”

Walking distance to Oktoberfest was convenient, yet the neighborhood was terrible: my wife and all her friends were cat called at night, pillows were flat, and the AC didn’t work in most rooms.

The location was good and close to all public transport, but the only problem was that in the area especially at night, thugs gather and smoke weed, causing excessive noise and making it uncomfortable to arrive at the hotel late at night.

Near the train station, breakfast was super, but I wanted a double bed room and was given 2 single beds that were not comfortable for our stay; the bedding was single and it was cold.

After a while of back‑and‑forth, the receptionist did what she could to salvage the situation. I had booked a fairly large “Comfortrum” with a big double bed, but was given a small room with a single bed and an extra fold‑down mattress barely 190 × 80 cm. The room was adapted for a wheelchair‑bound person but was missing a lot of essentials. The ground‑floor room was clean enough but completely lacking character. Breakfast was decent but not much else; the coffee tasted bad. For 1500 kr that night we did not expect this.
