“Catherine is an angel”

The room was tidy and the bed and pillows comfortable. The staff were wonderful, especially Catherine who went above and beyond by leaving a card and chocolates in the room when I arrived with an ankle injury and crutches; she really brightened our stay and is a lovely person.

“Spacious rooms and a great location, but very limited common areas for guests to relax or work.”

The room was spacious, which is rare for many hotels in Europe. I was disappointed by the lack of shared spaces outside the room. The hotel has a beautiful bar area, but I was told it had been closed for years and would not reopen. When I asked to work with my laptop in the breakfast and lunch area, I was denied, so I sat in the closed bar area instead. No service was offered, but no one asked me to leave, and I appreciated being able to work there. Still, a proper common area for coffee, drinks, or work would have been nice.

The breakfast buffet was super versatile and very tasty, and the rooms were absolutely fine; the bathroom was very spacious.

The room was dirty, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the breakfast was very simple with no options – never going back there.

Very very friendly place, A really lovely and unique hotel in a beautiful former church with lots of historic charm and character. What impressed me most was the incredibly warm and friendly staff, both at check-in and check-out. They genuinely made us feel welcome and even offered us coffee and tea before we left, along with some lovely little gifts. Such thoughtful hospitality is rare these days! The building has its own special atmosphere, and although some details show its age, that is part of its charm. Excellent value for money and an overall wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend it!. The only thing we didn’t like was that our stay was too short! 😊
