The bed was too high and there was no glass.
“Will probably drive to a hotel further away on our next visit to Geneva, NE.”
The owner was friendly and responded quickly. The hotel sits in a quiet neighborhood. The motel itself feels very old. The shower door had lime buildup and black mold in the lower corners, and even the showerhead was moldy. The rest of the room was clean but not spotless. Since this was the only motel in Geneva, we had no choice but to stay here unless we wanted to drive a half hour to the nearest hotel. There are no extra services, just a basic room.
“I am always treated very well at this little motel. It’s always a very comfortable stay.”
I love the family that runs the motel; they’re such nice people. Everything about the motel is very comfortable and accommodating. Nothing negative—everything was perfect.
“I'd stay here again.”
It’s an older property but well maintained. The Wi‑Fi worked great, and the office chair at the table was comfortable. The bed was reasonably cozy: the mattress was firm enough, and the pillows were neither too large and solid nor too thin and skimpy. The lighting was good for working at the table and for reading in bed. There was plenty of hot water and the shower head had a good flow. Noise was not an issue. The air conditioning struggled on a hundred‑degree summer day; oddly enough it seemed fine in the afternoon and early evening when it was hottest, but the room warmed up at night.
“We would definitely stay again should the need arise.”
The location was great, right next to a café, and the staff were wonderful. The fridge was loud when the compressor kicked in, and the AC made noise too, which made sleeping or resting difficult.
