The Bosville Hotel overlooks Portree's quaint harbour, serving fresh Skye and Scottish Highlands produce in its Dulse & Brose restaurant. Eagles inhabit nearby Ben Tianavaig, a 5-minute drive away. Harbourside restaurants are a short 5-minute walk. Free WiFi is available throughout. En-suite rooms feature TVs, tea/coffee making facilities, and harbour views. The stylish Merchant bar offers malt whiskies and fresh coffees by the fire.

The location is handy and the views are nice, but the bed is small, you have to climb two flights of stairs with your luggage, parking is very limited, and the breakfast staff are not as helpful or warm as the reception.

The room is roomy and in the heart of town; you can literally walk to all the bars and restaurants.

The spot is perfect, and we were lucky to snag a parking spot right in front. The staff were great, breakfast was first‑class, and the only available room could hold four people. It was pricey, but it was the only place in our two‑week trip that would carry our luggage up the stairs!

The location is good and you can see the harbor from the window. However, the room cost £380 for one night and had a loose light fixture over the shower, peeling wallpaper, paint peeling from the windowsill, a window that wouldn’t close, and a bathroom fan that didn’t work properly. We couldn’t eat at the restaurant and ended up with crisps and sandwiches from a nearby Coop. If it were £120 a night, I might have accepted all that, but at £380 it’s not acceptable.
