The hotel felt historic; the breakfast restaurant had a high ceiling and beautiful design. My husband was satisfied with the calm atmosphere. I found the lack of outlets near the bed inconvenient, but they provided extension cords, which was considerate and made it very comfortable.

We arrived at Okushiga Kogen on April 26 and found the spring snow still on the slopes; the day was a surprising 17 degrees. The hotel sits at the bottom of a lively slope, so you can ski right in. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the onsen is great, and the food and people are excellent. Everything else was fine.
