“All the charm of a period property with modern facilities.”
The place sits in a beautiful spot with a view of the castle walls, and the room was cozy. I was surprised by the plentiful hot water and strong pressure in such an old building. The WIFI worked well and there was an EV charger for our car, so the historic charm didn’t feel out of place. The only wish I had was for some evening food options, even just a simple soup.
The staff were fantastic, and even though we only stayed one night it felt wonderful. The apartment was spotless and the homemade cookies were a treat. We fell in love with the raspberry jam and the dogs that roam the grounds, greeting us on arrival. The welcome atmosphere and the gorgeous breakfast made it a memorable stay—I’ll definitely come back.

We arrived an hour before check‑in and the hostess let us into the two‑bedroom self‑catering apartment early. It was spotless and had all the modern conveniences. The apartment was next to the castle, and we chose the daily breakfast, which offered continental items and a selection from the kitchen. The castle’s location outside the city limits made it easy to visit all the historic sites. Everything was exceptional, with no issues.
