The breakfast was incredibly good, with a wide selection. The hotel had a lovely pool area and garden and was just a short walk from Fulda’s city centre and historic quarter. The hotel feels somewhat dated, with dusty floor mats and an outdated interior, needs a renovation in my opinion.

The location and vibe of the hotel are as good as always, and the staff at the front desk and in the restaurants are competent and friendly. This year, however, the breakfast fell short: the hot dishes and their plates were cold and had been sitting in containers for too long, and the mango fruit salad tasted musty. The room had a window overlooking the hotel entrance.

A nice hotel in the castle park. The cathedral and the lovely old town are a few minutes’ walk away. The breakfast in the Orangery is both visually and qualitatively a highlight.

Long corridor and 1‑2 floors down to the 4xx and 5xx – NO elevator! Anyone walking by the outside can look into the room or you have to open the curtain – it would be nice if they brought coffee in the mornings / no way to make coffee with the kettle – because they simply don’t have it. In conclusion, with a house like Maritim and the overnight prices, I had other expectations; it fell short – > back to Esperanto :-)
